ACTING TECHNIQUES CLASS(AGES 15 TO 18)

DESCRIPTION
In this class, students will develop foundational acting techniques, gaining a clear understanding of Stanislavski’s system, given circumstances, character objectives and action work.
Students will be expected to work diligently and with rigour – applying learned techniques to the rehearsal and performance of a short scene.
This class will give students the opportunity to:
- Apply script analysis and character preparation to an assigned scene
- Develop the ability to work quickly and with detail
- Bring offers to the space
- Adapt to direction
- Find play in the work
- Develop professionalism in all aspects of rehearsal and performance
- Engage with proactive and constructive feedback
For students who are passionate about acting for film, theatre and television. Suitable for complete beginners, no previous experience is required.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Refer to the SAS and SFS Cancellation and Transfer Policy. Please wear comfortable clothing you can move in for all drama and performance related courses. Clothing that restricts movement is inappropriate. Please wear closed in shoes. Please bring a pen, notebook or electric device and a bottle of water to all classes.
