IMPROVISATION & ACTING

Lyn Pierse has taught a generation of actors, teachers, standup comics and students of Improvisation and Acting for over 35 years at NIDA, ACA, AIM, Sydney Actors School, and is a sessional teacher University of New England, Macquarie University, Drama NSW.

Her Corporate training clients include KMPG, Deloitte, Price Waterhouse Coopers, HSBC, CBA, NAB, the Leadership Consortium. As Theatresports National Coach for Belvoir Company B, she pioneered Theatresports teaching across Australian theatres, universities, communities and schools. Her international work includes introducing Theatresports to New Zealand and Japan. She has taught for UNESCO Chair Romania and Sophia University Tokyo.

Lyn has staged Theatresports and comedy and charity extravaganzas including; Cranston Cup Finals, Much Ado About Impro, Theatresports National, International and Celebrity Competitions and events at Sydney Opera House, Belvoir St., Enmore, EXPO Brisbane, Adelaide Festival, State Theatre Sydney, Parade Theatre Sydney.

Her Acting film and TV credits include; 3rd placed 2016 Tropfest film The ATM, Clown Play: the Bench Project, Rake, How Not To Behave ABC ScreenTime, Balmoral Protection Unit, All Saints, Home and Away, regular character Pam Coughlan for SBS TV’s Going Home, ABC’s The Big Gig and many TVCs.

Stage credits; Heaven Help Us, Roberto Zucco, The Importance of Being Earnest, Quiet Companions,The Pigeons for Griffin Independent, The Fabulous Punch and Judy Show, The Women Of Lockerbie, Tabloid Musical Improvised, Divinely Irresistible, Rex Cramphorn’s Measure For Measure, The Australian Premiere Berkoff’s Greek, Neil Armfield’s Season At Sarsaparilla, Miss Julie, Woycek, Nick Enright’s original, Summer Rain and as Sr. Mary Leonard hosted Theatresports at the Opera House, Enmore and Belvoir St.

In 2015 she studied with Bill Alexander and Lucy Bailey in Italy at the “Shakespeare In Italy Society.” 2015 she directed “Shakespeare Interactive” for Young Australia Workshop and she worked with this program again in 2016.
